The wrap-round sling or carrying cloth is the most versatile type of baby-carrier. Usable from birth right through toddler-hood, your baby can be 'worn' on the front, hip or back in various positions to suit the needs of you and your child. Amazonas slings come with instructions and there are lots of websites (soma are listed on our resources page) with good descriptions of different carrying methods.
Wrap-round slings support babies' natural posture, keeping the legs in 'frog' position and the back rounded (babies' backs naturally curve outwards-only until the strength develops to allow them to walk.)
Amazonas slings are produced under fair working conditions and the Oko-tex Standard 100 guarantees the slings don't carry harmful chemical residues from the dyes used, reducing their environmental impact as well as providing you with peace-of-mind that your baby could go without clothing and not be harmed by the cloth!
The Brazilian Carry Sling from Amazonas is a cross-woven wrap-round sling, available in a length of 4.5m. The unique fabric provides the flexible support that cross-woven 'German style' wraps are known for, with a superbly cushy 'rug-like' feel. We currently have these on offer at £33, a saving of almost £7 on the RRP of £38.95.
